Yeah, I agree to a certain extent. Both manga revolve around fighting at school, but "The Breaker" focuses on a secret society of martial artists more so than the school environment. The art of "The Breaker" seems to be a little more slender whereas people in "Veritas" are ripped and stacked. The protagonists are completely different because one wants to become the strongest and the other just wants to protect people. If you can put up with the early whiney chapters of "The Breaker", people of "Veritas" should enjoy "The Breaker".

Eh, I don't like The Breaker as much as Veritas. The MC is too much of a wuss for my taste. I just see things more like Gangryong in terms of fighting to get stronger etc and avenging your master, though circumstances have changed for him recently.

My favorite character is Guhoo though out of all of them since I just like his personality most, though Gangryong is a character I very much like, if not for him being the main character. I just feel it tacky to love the main character, but Gangryong is wicked IMO.

To note once again about Breaker, I like the entire concepts of how they use Ki etc and such, and I really do enjoy the manga as much as Veritas, though I just don't like the boy in The Breaker. His weak personality just annoys me. Thats also me already seeing that he has toughed it out through a fight with one of the bigger characters, but even so. I still hate his way of thinking and his lacking for taking action compared to Gangryong who is much more up front and personal with his feelings.

The Breaker have more character development though, if u have been up to date with that series, the main char is much more develop compare to the main char here and of course in most case, it's easier to comprehend than Veritas plotwise, but i do read both

I think I prefer the breaker to be honest. It's far more realistic for some kid who was a normal highschool student a few months ago to have issues with randomly fighting to the death to get stronger. And I quite like how he has principles he sticks to, which in the Breaker is another source of challenge. Very good series the both of them though

Weak personality? Did you not see his zombie scene. He's a freakin' BadAss.

Though I prefer Veritas and Gang don't write off The Breaker.

Lol, I consider his judgment on using his strength to just protect his friends as all the power he needs without trying to harm others is weak. Of course this can be debated highly, but I see that not trying to defeat your opponent is weakness. Gangryong no matter who the opponent he stands up against and fights and fights. Even if he does fight dirty at times he progresses. The Breaker, I haven't seen him progress enough at all. I have seen some of the Raws and was pleased, but the lack of conviction to fighting really annoys me.

The scenario where a boy is picked on by a group of kids and he hardly fights back annoys me immensely. But yes, I have read the one moment where he had complete heart and soul into the fight with that Prodigy Mirumi(I think thats it) kid. I did very much enjoy it, but so far as I read all of the current chapters, he has yet to really get anywhere, though the raws reveal he does progress, but I won't go into detail.

Gangryong although he does get his ass kicked hard throughout the series he does have his shining points. I have to admit I do grit my teeth and get upset at his loss at almost every fight, but every time he seems to get better and better, and he doesn't take shit from anyone. I highly respect that pride and spirit. Although The Breaker has shown spirit; his spirit is just isn't enough for me to rank so highly yet.

My favorite character from The Breaker would have to be his master which reminds me of Yoochun(Lightning Tiger). Though I just prefer Yoochun's suave and his style of fighting.

Veritas started earlier than The Breaker more than a year.
