hey, do anyone know of a manga that is similar to monochrome factor? coz when i was reading monochrome factor, i realised that everything bout this manga is like awesome and i was wondering if there is any other manga tat is similar to this? coz after reading this manga, i felt tat i need more xD so do anyone here have any reccomendations?

Nothing really for me but I get where your coming from. Its like Monochrome Factor takes the storyline and keeps pushing and pushing and at the same time not overwhelming it. I really have high respect for this manga because no other manga makes me feel this way...

Umm... Please tell me I'm not the only one who read the manga and saw repeated (usually somewhat mocking) references and parallels to the Bleach manga (esp. the beginning of Bleach)? Don't get me wrong, I rather like both series, but I was chuckling over several references. I'm not saying Monochrome is copying Bleach--far from it! I think Monochrome Factor has a really interesting plot and I really wish it were updated more often. But it must be admitted there are several similarities--at least on a superficial level--between the two series.

Anyway, if you want a similar series, in terms of a boy who can transform into a non-human version of himself and defeat monsters that attack and/or possess humans, with the underlying tension of a traitor trying to eliminate his opponents and former comrades to remake the world in his own liking... that would be Bleach. If you are looking for series that have characters with parallel character personalities to your favorite characters in Monochrome Factor, than that would depend on which character in question... however, several Bleach characters have personalities that are roughly parallel to Monochrome Factor (for example, honestly, is it just me or are there strong similarities in personality and hobbies of Aya and Tatsuki ((Bleach))? Akira and Ichigo (at least, the early Ichigo)? etc.?)

For all I know, it could be a common characterization formula used by several different mangaka. I really don't read that many manga series (there are 2 on-going I follow, and 3-4 finished series I've purchased), but I'm sure there are other series that have similarities as well.

So basically Bleach? Hmm, I don't know about that. Bleach has a pretty good storyline but its tortured by filters and a over ride of characters. With Monochrome Factor you can name all the characters with no sweat, including amino characters. Also, Monochrome Factor, in a way, is not like other manga because of the subject of this blog. Monochrome Factor isn't similar in storyline to any other manga. And plus, Its presenting something new and fresh and looks like it too a long time to get the story right(the reason why we're all addicted and obsessed over this manga). That shows Sorano's major creativity. His other manga is different from other manga too. (Except Cristo~Oranged Eyed Messiah. Black Cat is also similar too that)

Monochrome Factor reminds me of every other manga where someone transforms to defeat monsters! Like... hmm... Sailor Moon! Jk, Jk. Monochrome Factor is the best series ever!!!! Of couse, I have noticed that a lot of mangas have the all-too familiar "you are the chosen one to bring balance to the world" kind of thing going on, but still, I think MF (too lazy to type out Monochrome Factor) has got it to the point where it's too unique to really compare with others. You have to admit though, with all the THOUSANDS of mangas out there, there's bound to be similarities between some.

I watched the anime and now I'm starting to read manga :3
I think when you like Monochrome Factor, you also would like Pandora Hearts and Night Head Genesis. I love those series : D

In the beginning, I thought Night Head Genesis and Monochrome Factor are very similiar - in various episodes, a group helps people possesed by strange powers. When I watched the whole MF, I think they aren't so veeeryyy similiar, but you would like NHG, I think.
