I heard got many recommends to read this manga so i wanted to ask if this manga is pure comedy or are there any scenes which can be taken serious like dying characters??

There isn't alot of dying, but there is a lot of action, surprise and twists that will pull you in. The comedy isn't bad either so I enjoy it very much. It also explains the origins and how the many martial arts that appear work, like Kalaripayattu, Jujitsu, Muay Thai, Chinese Kempo, SAMBO, and numerous others. All in all, if you like laughing as well as a good fight between martial arts, it's worth reading.

well said.

Its different from Naruto or Bleach though there are a lot of similarities. in some ways .I think it has a lot more comedy and (a drop more ecchi) than those two , yet at the same time as satisfying as they are.
I know that i read it first , then those two after , and i still think its just as good.

Hmmm, This manga is mostly comedy, with the battles bein' seroius with some comedy bien thrown in for good measure. And boobs. Loads and loads o' boobs. wich is nice.

BtW:

it's "Can this manga be taken SERIOUSLY". SERIOUSLY!!!

i see, i think i wont start this one cause it seems to have to much comedy for me and no dramatic moments.

actually there is a bit of dying, betrayal.... stuff like that, but the comedy's actually pretty funny. You should probably look to chapters 120 and up for really awesome fights.

Just try it and You will not regret it.Its quite a serious manga when it wants to be and it could be funny when it wants to be too.

well for me this is my favourite manga and i like pretty good fighting scenes and stuff like that. the bit that the anime was made from is really funny and has some good fights but if you read past that it gets really good and there are some deaths as well as alot of good fights there is still funny bits but its not annoying its really good and definetly worth reading. this manga has been my favourite for nearly a whole year which is really rare because i read alot of stuff. im sure you will really like this manga if you read past the first bit
