Aaaaah!
*wants to start reading, NOW!* But first, a question.. I've watched the anime (AMAZING!) and all those specials and stuff, so I really want to start with the NewPoT, but I haven't read the PoT manga yet...Can I just skip it and come back to it later, or are there any significant things I need to know before I can start the new one..? |

Oh dear, after my opinion you absolute must! Cause in the first season that's when "they" introduces to us all the lovely characters;O And you should really see the 1st season or read it, cause it's absolute worth it
![]() I think w/o the first season you would be absolute "lost" over who is who and when they got introduced ![]() |

Like you I started out on the anime which after I was done watching the series I went back to read the manga and I felt so ripped off. The manga has so much more information and I feel you get more out of each character. I would read the manga then move on to ShinPoT.

;; Haha, yeah. It's probably best to go through the first manga series first, despite how long it seems. I thought that the manga delved deeper into the story/history of some of the characters, and it's always nice to read the original. :B (By original I mean...the manga came before the anime? ;; The author's original intent, I mean?)

You don't HAVE TO read it now. I mean if you watched the anime you will know what's going on and stuff.
BUT ! It's always wise to read the manga. In my opinion the manga is more detailed and... better XD So... it's your decision what to do. Shin PoT will wait for you... XD |

I only looked at some of the differences of the manga/anime, simply because I was satisfied with the anime. There aren't any huge gaps that I notice when reading, so if you don't want to then don't. Although apparantly the manga has a lot more.
Also, the America match and that one science team (With the copy cat, deep impulse guy) never existed I believe. Those were just thrown into the anime. I assume NPoT is for an actual America match, since they are the international team I believe. In the anime they said it came early and junk and just picked players from their regions, but regardless it should all be ignored, since I doubt they thought that far ahead and connected the anime with events that never happened in the manga.
