Default Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days

I hope this game is still out next month because that's when I'm getting my DSi! The gameplay seems awesome and the graphics are almost perfect for a DS. And Roxas is my favorite character and he's the main character of the game! I hate Sora now, and it seems kinda boring when he's in the manga, lol... I'm interested in Organization XIII and you can use them in the game! What do you guys think of the game?

Unhappy Sorry but no one will answer

No offense but YES they are going to still be selling this game in November! That would be such a waste of Square Enix's valuable time to have a game selling for less than a month. This is why you haven't gotten a single post yet except for this one

Yeah the story's complicated and interesting. That's why I like it. And yes, Xion is in the game. You unlock her later.

Default My Review, if you care to read...

Initially, I personally was kind of upset that there were no Final Fantasy cameos, and that all the Disney Worlds played such a minor role in the story (you never directly interact with any of the main Disney Characters...except maybe for Phil in the Colosseum, if he counts).

But then, I realized that you don't really need FF characters, since there are 17 Square Enix Originals (not including Sora and Kairi, since you rarely see them): the Nobodies, Riku, Diz, and Naminé. This group of 17 fantastic characters make up entirely for the lack of FF characters. Actually, FF Characters may have even detracted from the story if they had been included. Also, the worlds (while tedious to complete missions) were rendered beautifully - enough to make up for the fact that the actual worlds didn't mean much (the events that occurred within the worlds were simply to guide the changes that Roxas undergoes as he learns more about Nobodies, Hearts, and himself).

I wish there was more free rein to travel the worlds, like in KH I and II; however, when you consider the story's plot, I suppose this mission system is far more appropriate for this game than the free-travel system in previous games.

Speaking of plot - EXCELLENT PLOT!! The development of Roxas through interactions with other Nobodies, Axel and Xion creates an exquisite mix of drama and lightheartedness. Somewhere near to the end, I was shocked at how ruined the main characters' friendship became. It was such a gradual descent from friendship to disharmony that it seemed very natural. It's truly a tragic tale; but since when were Nobodies ever given a happy ending?

Rating 9/10; panels were moderately inconvenient at times, which is only to be expected, but still....not to mention some irritating camera flaws that result from "lock-on." Some missions get to be redundant and long. Since the game is on a DS platform, I found extended gameplay to be moderately uncomfortable (Let's face it - the DS controls are not nearly as comfortable as the PS2 or even PSP), and the occasional button-mashing that is involved really can tire out the hands. The graphics are, of course, exceptional. Voice acting was a major bonus, along with FMVs. The plot was involving and moving. It's replay factor is really nice, with new game+ and Mission mode, and I loved the addition of theater mode.
