Kitchen Princess and Yumeiro Patissiere
I was on zomganime a few mins ago, and found a new anime called Yumeiro Patissiere. The storyline is almost the exact same, other than the fact that ichigo doesnt live in the foster home...lavender house i think. but weirdly, its the same...what do you guys think? i think its kinda creepy...unless it really is a reformed kitchen priness...WHATS GOIN ONNNNNN?!

I saw that anime. I have to admit it is similar to Kitchen Princess. However, it does have it own manga and story. Maybe one author's was influenced by another or they just so happen to be similar, but it's all good =) More for us!

I Believe the two have no similarity other then the usually similarity that almost ALL shojo series have. One girl and Two guys but in this case Three guy for Yumeiro. You would have to watch the series yourself to unerstand.
If you want to compare I say it more like Shugo Chara then Kitchen Princess for it magically elements. Unlike the Main character in Kitchen Princess the main character in Yumeiro: *Does not know how to cook *Is urged to go to the school by the guy she likes(but she already knows who that guy is unlike the main charater in Kitchen princess.) The only similarity I see is that there both centered in a cooking school. |

Been a while since i read Kitchen Princess so not positively sure. It seems like the main character in both of these have the ability to remember the taste of food. Of course it's a cooking/food genre, so there not a lot of variety of ability for the protagonist. Not too surpise of overlapping.

If anything I think Yumeiro Patissiere and Shugo Chara are more similar.
Other than cooking I have to agree that Kitchen Princess isn't really similar to it. In Kitchen Princess we have to admit that Najika knows how to cook and knows how to make a lot of things. But the main girl in Yumeiro Patissiere can't cook at all and has almost no knowledge of food in general. About the only thing the two share is their love of food and their taste for it. |

Hmm well I just found out about that anime today (I just finished the first episode right now) and it is kind of the same, they both have special tastes in cooking and stuff, and it's also like Shugo Chara! because of the sweet spirits, but I think it's more like Kitchen Princess (I like Kitchen Princess more than Yumeiro Patissiere but it's still really good
 ! )
