Now i have 2 questions,
1: i this based off the game that comes after .hack roots?
2: i see-this manga is open, how often doe a new chapter co out?

i could answer question #1 for you....
Yes ,it is based off .hack GU the games..
but theres a catch, there are differences
like the movie of GU, the game and Manga all have different scenarios happening to the same time line...
i believe the Game version stays true and the Movie and Manga are canons, but thats just my opinion.

as for question #2
i can't really answer that, there's a book store where i seen the other volumes are being sold, but i didn't have money on me to buy them...they where english versions too........

now i regret forgetting my wallet.......
