Ok so recently I've finished reading the manga after watching the anime. I actually read the manga on onemanga.com but went onto here to read chapter 44.5 and I noticed that the threads are focused on bashing/flaming Yomi. Seriously I'm getting annoyed by all this sh*t...

You guys aren't giving Yomi enough credit. I mean, wasn't Kagura and Yomi the main characters in the first place? So why are you people ganging up on Segawa Hajime that he's not making Kensuke stronger? I do like Kensuke's character but seriously, all of this "issue" with the manga-ka just putting the spotlight on Yomi and Kagura because of the anime's popularity is bullsh*t. Just who do you think you are?! Segawa Hajime owns Ga-Rei and he can do whatever the hell he wants with it so just f*ckin' deal with it. Move on.

I'm sorrying for ranting (and cussin') but please think before you write something so ridiculous...

And call me what you want whether it'd be, "OMG! What a Yomi-obssessed freak" or "Kensuke-hater!" but I am merely stating the obvious.

let me say this.. no, they were not the main character at first.
it was kensuke and kagura,
the anime was made well into the second arc of the manga, that had already established kensuke as the main character,
yomi was the main antagonist in the first arc, she was brought back to use as a main character in the anime, that was, it until now,, and apparently kesuke got demoted to side character,

Last I checked, the anime's a prequel to the manga... As far as I'm concerned, Yomi and Kagura ARE the main characters BEFORE Kensuke. It is true that the anime came during the manga being published but the anime's timeline is prequel to the manga so technically Yomi and Kagura were main characters to begin with before Kensuke's story started. Keep in mind that the manga is 2 years later after the anime.

I'm not trying to start a fight or an arguement here, I'm just getting sick and tired of people saying, "Why the f*ck is Kensuke so weak?" or "Why is the manga-ka making Kensuke just a side character now?"

Yup. Agree with SoruIta. Although I'm not sure about the "Yomi also being a main chara". Even though she was a main character in the prequel, I think in the manga, she has been demoted to a side character/villian, while Kensuke has been promoted to a main character. Seeing how the manga is progressing now, I think it's possible that Kagura, Yomi and Kensuke are the main characters now. But that's just my trail of thoughts.

yes TIMELINE wise she was a main chara before kensuke, but in reality she was the main villain for the first arc, she was not a main chara before kensuke, and was introduces as a main chara after he was, he manga is about kensuke and kaugra, the anime is about kagura and yomi, not the same. since this is the manga we are discussing i say Kensuke is the main character along with kagura.

What I have to say is that DisposablHero, is right about Yomi.

In the reality Yomi is the villain, the manga was about Kensuke and Kagura before Hajime Segawa were prostituting the history for the sake of the anime.

And the reason for which we are all Complaining is simple, because this is supposed to be a Shounen, and because of that all this Yuri romance drama sucks, especially if we thought that the author does it to please those that adore the anime, because of that the fans of the manga are feeling betrayed, and of course I include myself.

Were the fans of the manga those who made possible the anime, because of that how someone cannot understand the frustration of seeing how the autor is prostituting the original history to please some other fan base, and the worst part is that the autor is doing it badly, because if Segawa were doing it at least OK the sales of the manga would not Suffer.

I have never seen the anime, and I will not do so because I am extremely intolerant to BS.

The English is not my first language, I hope that at least you could understand what I wanted to say.

At this rate, the way the manga's going, I think Yomi will become a main character along with Kagura AND Kensuke (happy?!

). Segawa Hajime surely won't put the same antagonist again and be killed again since fans would surely be disappointed as Yomi's popularity sky-rocketed ever since the anime got aired.

Recent manga chapters shows Yomi resisting the miasma and refused the offer of being the leader of the "Judgement Day" people. And also, the fact that she's got 3x bigger and longer sword aside from the Shishou Ou proves that she'll soon fight against Kagura. Though its not for certain, its just my theory.

We'll just have to wait and see~
