I haven't seen a post about this subject so here i go. I am a mild fan of Toriko and read it sometimes but i am wondering why isn't there a Bakuman anime. I mean Obata Takeshi has had i think like three animes that have all gone okay to great so i would think that this manga that is really really good would be a anime before Toriko since his name is attached. It might just be it isn't time yet to make it into an anime and the authors have just said wait but what are your thoughts on this?

Well... To be honest I can't imagine "Bakuman" anime : D. Sometimes only manga version is just fine (Im that kind of person that likes manga a lot more that anime) : D. IMO "Bakuman" isnt a material for Anime. Anime much have its dinamic style ( but I can be wrong becouse I dont like Anime to much : D ).

Haha, I'd love to see Eiji animated XD. But I like it fine as a manga, simply because it's about manga and it's so fitting.

But I love Bakuman so of course I'd watch it if they made one. But it doesn't seem very popular right now. |

I'd watch the anime if there was one, because I like to see the characters move, and wouldn't the writer and the artist of Bakuman be happier if they got an anime?

It will need at least 1-2 more years. There just isn't enough material, but I really love Bakuman, I'd love anything by the combination of Tsugumi Ohba amazing story telling and Takeshi Obata amazing art =)

well but fairy and bakuman are 2 diferent kinds of manga... umm even so i think it's to soon to be thinking in an anime. it would turn out better if the manga is already done by the time they begin with bakuman's anime so we dont get fillers and crap like most of the long runner animes like bleach and naruto |

I'm not sure about the material but I think 50 chapters is enough for a 12 episode anime. but yeah... maybe a 24 to 26 episode anime is much better. It is slice of life thus it does not really need lots of episodes or else it would be boring

I was asking myself the same a while ago but when I thought about it, it was pretty obvious. Bakuman would most likely lose all his charm as an anime since it is a manga about manga. Of course manga fans like to read something like that. But there are many animefans who don't care much about manga or just don't like it (which goes both directions, as we see on Kafar380's comment). If you want to make the concept of Bakuman attracting to anime audience it should be a anime about anime (or something like that). I hope this is understandable. Anyways, if they would make it an anime of course I would watch it.
