All I can say is...

Duh, Elfen Lied.

Lucy is the lead and forerunner of the "Sweet and innocent but I am going to rip your head off if your not careful". Not to mention she is way better then Shiro (Sorry Shiro, your great an all, but Lucy kicks butt)

Just read the first chapter of Elfen Lied, and I promise it will suck you right in (But I am warning you right now, there is a LOT of nudity and a LOT of gore, so hopefully that isn't a problem)

Ugh, I have one, but I can't think of the title atm,..most likely some japanese untranslated name mangafox likes to post, but most people will know it by this description:

A woman who can create magic bullets. She tried to challenge the gods, so they made her into a weak girl. There is a guy who was saved by the older version of her when he was a kid, and has always idolized her. Now he travels with the girl her...and they find that everytime she feels love towards him, she changes into her true self (older self) for a short while. You'll like her.

yeeeeeeeeeeeaa.... it really isn't the spine thing like yandere. it's more lighthearted comedy. it's more annoying than creepishly endearing, which is more what i'm thinking.

How about Umineko? It's the successor of Higurashi and has some psychos in it...oh and there's always School Days and Shuffle! but I believe those are more romantic than horror (I watched School Days which gets bloody towards the end and Shuffle's Kaede is a prime example for yanderes).

I don't think they're exactly what you're looking for but those are the only ones I can think of...maybe Hellsing? Seras Victoria (she's got a cute factor) is actually a normal young police woman but gets turned into a vampire and tries to fight against her lust for blood, which doesn't work out very well in some scenes...in other words: blood, bullets and carnage =D

The Hellsing OVAs are ore than awesome and Alucard i just....well, Alucard xD
