I was reading Toho Kingdom's list of Godzilla film/TV refs, and a scene from LH involving a fantasy sequence with Mutsumi as the Mothra Twin Fairies came up. The site referred to her as a 'supporting character'.

I don't know if I disagree, but I'm also certain that K/Mut shippers would have a field day with that listing. So here's my newest question about a finished series--I come up with about one a month.

How in LH do you define who is and is not a 'main' character? As I noted in the 'X out' post, there are quite a few, with widely varying degrees of importance and number of appearances.

Mine :

Main - Keitaro, Naru, Shinobu, Motoko, Kitsune, Haruka, Su

Straddling : Mutsumi (no pun intended), Sarah

Supporting but Pivotal : Seta, Kanako, Grandma

Then the rest. Yours?

Mine:

Main - Keitaro, Naru (It is the relationship between them that is the main focus of the story, neh?)
Secondary - Shinobu, Motoko, Kitsune, Su, Mutsumi, Sarah, Tama-chan (sure, Keitaro likes them all, but he has always been in love only with Naru)
Supporting but pivotal: Seta, Haruka, Kanako, Grandma, Nyamo
Supporting (and annoying): Shirai, Haitani
Then all the incidentals: including Mutsumi's family, various inn-keepers, etc
