I do realize that. When I state that Yamashita is masculine, some of my fellow staff members (working on the translation) were confused and looked back to the introduction. A person who I asked to look into it went through the Japanese wiki and confirmed that he is a male (at least tentatively). I didn't really consider Yamashita a female in the first place but there are instances where there are girls who act like males in manga and such even to the surprise of the characters within the series itself. No matter what, there's going to be confusion and some people who still might think Yamashita is female until they see some kind of "concrete" proof besides an introduction. Anyway, it was interesting that you shed some light on the topic by bringing up the introduction with the use of "kare", though, and it certainly helped convince a few people.
